Results and rankings of the UTMB 2023 Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc
The UTMB is the world’s biggest endurance race. The UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc) is a sporting challenge that involves running a 170 km course with a 9,600 m vertical drop around Mont Blanc, passing through 3 countries: France, Switzerland and Italy.
This race is considered one of the most difficult and prestigious of the world’s ultra-trailers. The 2023 edition took place on September 01, 2023.
In 2023, almost 10,000 runners will have embarked on this sporting adventure on the UTMB and its 8 races such as the TDS, the OCC (101km), the CCC (86km) and the PTL (296km).
In 2023, nearly 2,800 runners took part in the UTMB, the world’s biggest race.
Men’s UTMB 2023 rankings
By completing the 171 km of a slightly modified route in the Mont Blanc Massif in 19h49’30”, American Jim Walmsley wins his first UTMB after several setbacks and falls below the legendary 20-hour mark. Zach Miller, another long-time American race leader, takes second place, and Germain Grangier, the most American of the French, takes a superb third place.

Women’s UTMB 2023 rankings
Following her impressive performances at the Western States and Hardrock 100 this summer, American Courtney Dauwalter claimed her third UTMB victory in Chamonix on Saturday. France’s Blandine L’Hirondel also shone, finishing on the podium. Courtney, already crowned in 2019 and 2021, was warmly welcomed by a shower of applause. His remarkable feat was greeted by a massive ovation. Emotionally, she hugged her parents and partner before mingling with the crowd for an invigorating moment.
