Rome Marathon 2025 route in gpx
Now you’re ready for an unforgettable adventure when you take part in the Rome Marathon 2025. Imagine yourself on March 16, at the starting line on the majestic Via dei Fori Imperiali, with the Colosseum in the background.
In the first few kilometers, you’ll pass by the Circo Massimo, a vast space that still resonates with the chariot races of yesteryear. As you pass through the picturesque Trastevere district, let yourself be carried away by the unique atmosphere of its cobbled streets.
The route then takes you past the majestic Basilica of St. Peter, a place steeped in spirituality and history. Skirting the Tiber, you’ll see Castel Sant’Angelo, an imposing fortress that has watched over the city for centuries.
Each stride will bring you closer to architectural treasures such as Piazza Navona and its Baroque fountains, Piazza di Spagna and its famous staircase, or the Trevi Fountain, where tradition has it that you throw a coin to ensure you’ll return to Rome.
The course is designed to be relatively flat, despite Rome’s legendary seven hills. However, be prepared for the cobblestones, which add a special charm but also an extra challenge to your run.
As you cross the finish line, back on the Via dei Fori Imperiali, the Colosseum will greet you one last time, bearing witness to your achievement in the heart of the Eternal City.
Get ready for an emotionally-charged experience, where every step tells you a story that goes back thousands of years. Have a great marathon!
