Stockholm Marathon 2025 course in gpx

The Stockholm Marathon 2025 is a real treat for runners. The course is magnificent and varied. It starts in the center of town, in front of the Olympic Stadium. The atmosphere is crazy right from the start.

We pass quickly along wide, tree-lined avenues. You cross several islands, with plenty of viewpoints over the water. The light on the docks is superb, especially if the sun is out. It gives you energy.

The route mixes modernity and old buildings. Alongside the Royal Palace, past the Parliament, the old town, Gamla Stan, is one of the highlights. The cobblestones can be a little tricky, but the atmosphere is unique.

There are quite a few false flats, and a few climbs too, especially towards Södermalm. You need to keep a little under your feet for the second lap. Yes, there are two loops, which mentally helps you get your bearings. From the 30th kilometer, the effort becomes harder, but the public is there, very present.

And the finish in the mythical Olympic Stadium… what a thrill. The last bend, the entry onto the track, the cheering… it’s really powerful. If you’re looking for a marathon that offers both a sporting challenge and a chance to discover a city, the Stockholm marathon is a gem.
