You set off from the Champs-Élysées, a true royal trail! The adrenalin is pumping, surrounded by thousands of runners, with the Arc de Triomphe at your back. When the starting gun sounds, you’re off down this legendary avenue (enjoy it, it goes fast!) all the way to the Concorde.

The first 10 kilometers: Paris belongs to you
You cross the Rue de Rivoli, passing the Louvre and the Opéra Garnier, before skirting the Place de la Bastille. The atmosphere is electric: music, cheering, the first kilometers fly by.

From the Bois de Vincennes to the halfway point
A little further on, you’ll find the calm of the Bois de Vincennes. Here, you can set your pace and manage your breath. It’s a good opportunity to get back into the swing of things before returning to the heart of Paris. The halfway point comes quickly and, if all goes well, you’re still in great shape!

The quays of the Seine: a postcard moment
This is where Paris is revealed at its most beautiful. You walk along the Seine with incredible views of Notre-Dame, the Musée d’Orsay and, of course, the Eiffel Tower. Of course, this is also where it starts to sting a bit, especially with a few tunnels to get through… Hang on!

The 30th km wall and the Bois de Boulogne
This is often the moment of truth. After the 30th km, your legs start to feel heavy, but the crowd is there to keep you going. You enter the Bois de Boulogne, where you’ll have to draw on your reserves. But good news: the finish is not far off.

The finish on avenue Foch: an explosion of emotions
The final stretch on avenue Foch, with the Arc de Triomphe in your sights. At this point, no matter what the time, you’ve just made history. The noise of the crowd, the red carpet under your feet, the explosion of joy as you cross the line… This Paris Marathon is yours.
