The Paris 2024 Olympic cycling route
The course for the men’s road race at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024. It will be a demanding 273-kilometer event with 2,800 meters of positive elevation gain.
The start is at the Trocadéro in Paris. The runners will first take part in a 5 km parade, passing by emblematic monuments such as the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. The actual start will then take place on rue Gay-Lussac in the 5th arrondissement.

The gpx plot consists of several parts:
A 225 km long loop in the south-western suburbs of Paris, crossing Hauts-de-Seine, Yvelines and Essonne.
A passage through the Vallée de Chevreuse and several Olympic sites such as the Château de Versailles and the Vélodrome National de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
A return to Paris with two passes on a loop around Montmartre.
A technical final circuit of 18.4 km including the cobbled hill of Butte Montmartre (1 km at 6.5%).

The course comprises ten listed climbs, including :
Côte des Gardes (1.9 km, 6% gradient)
Côte de Saint-Germain-en-Laye (1 km, 5.5%)
Côte des Mesnuls (1.1 km at 6.1%)
Côte de Senlisse (1.3 km at 5.3%)
The finish will be at the Trocadero, with the Eiffel Tower in the background, promising a spectacular finale to this Olympic race.
