ZUT100 164km / 8,496m D+ : Historic debut, Tallmann 3rd overall
Start: Thursday June 12 at 8:00 PM on the Richard-Strauss-Platz in Garmisch-Partenkirchen 250 runners head into the night for the very first edition of the ZUT100, a full loop around the Zugspitze massif in 164km and 8,496m D+. The technical night sections are followed the next day by crushing heat: more than 40% of the field drops out. Thomas Ungethüm (🇩🇪 Saxony, 45-49M) — already winner of the 2022 Ultratrail — takes the debut title in 24:00:40, ahead of Werner Sturm (🇦🇹 Austria, 24:41:51) and René Claussnitzer “Master Goodvibe” (🇩🇪, 25:25:55). The standout performance of the edition: Johanna Tallmann (🇩🇪, 20-34W) finishes 3rd overall in 24:57:20 and takes the women’s title — ahead of nearly all the men! Tatiana Mitkina finishes 2nd woman, Polish runner Sawicka Dlugosz takes 3rd.
