On April 3, 2022, after a 2021 edition run in October due to the covid-18 pandemic, the Paris Marathon made its grand return to the French capital. Over 30,000 runners from all over the world took to the streets of Paris. 98% of starters are finishers. Discover the results of the Paris Marathon 2022 below.
At just 24 years of age, Ethiopian Gelmisa has won the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris 2022.
Completing the 42.195 km course in Paris in 2h05’05”, Ethiopian Gelmisa won the event, beating his compatriot Tura in the sprint.
In the women’s race, Kenyan Jeptum won in 2h19:49s. She beat her compatriot Imma and also beat the event record by more than a minute!
Frenchman Morhad Amdouni broke the French marathon record at this year’s event. The 33-year-old completed the Paris event in a time of 2 hours 5 minutes and 20 seconds, more than a minute slower than former record-holder Benoît Zwierzchiewski, who also won in Paris in 2003 .

Women's rankings
Kenyan Judith Jeptum won the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris 2022 in a record time of 2h19’47”. This time becomes the new women’s record for the Paris Marathon. Ethiopia’s Jimma takes second place by more than 3′, and third place goes to another Ethiopian: Besu Sado. Lindsey Flanagan, the first non-African athlete, takes a very fine 10ᵉ place, 7min05 behind the day’s winner.
